National Seminar on Children’s Theatre (NSCT):

 

Seminar in 2005:

A National Seminar on Children’s Theatre was held on 23 December 2005 at the Theatre Lab of Banani, Dhaka. 31 adult  representatives and 13 youth/child representatives of different children’s theatre groups from all over the country took part in that seminar.

 

Seminar in 2006:

A National Seminar on ‘Children’s Theatre Culture in Bangladesh: Problems & Possibilities’ was held on 12 August 2006 at Central Kachi kacha Auditorium, Dhaka. 30 members of 30 groups from different part of the country with Parents, Teacher’s & Children participated in the seminar.

 

Seminar in 2007:

A daylong national seminar on ‘Children Theatre Culture in Bangladesh: Problems and Possibilities’, was held on June 29, 2007 at the seminar hall, public library Dhaka. Renowned theatre personnel and ex-director of the Department of Drama/Theatre, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Mr. S. M. Mohsin presided over the seminar. The Special guests of the seminar were Dr. Sabera Monir, Children
Theatre Specialist, Shahjahan Shah, old theatre personnel from Dinajpur, Ms. Rehana Sultana from Shishu Academy, Mr. Samsuddin Ahmed from UNICEF, Dr. Hamidul Haque, Founder of UST and Liaquat Ali Lucky, Executive Director of RAKHAL. Directors, Organizers, Guardians, Teachers, Children theatre workshops were also present on that Seminar.

 

Seminar in 2008:

A daylong national seminar on ‘Children Theatre Culture in Bangladesh: Problems and Possibilities were held on June 20, 2008 at the seminar hall, Public library Dhaka. Renowned theatre personnel and ex-director of the Department of Drama/Theatre, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Mr. S. M. Mohsin presided over the seminar. The special guests of the seminar were Dr. Niranjan Odhikari, Professor, Sangskrit Bangladesh Shishu Odhikar Forum. Liaquat Ali Lucky, Executive Director of RAKHAL was the moderator of this seminar. Directors, Organizers, Guardians, Teachers, Children theatre workers were also present on that seminar.

 

 

National Seminar and Policy Advocacy Seminar: 

15 National and Policy Advocacy Seminars were organized by PTA to address various problems relating to theatre in Bangladesh and possibilities of solving those problems and established drama in education.
