Celebrate The World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People:
Children and youth theatre troupes celebrated The World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People through a colourful programme on every 20 March. Children and young artistes of different Cultural organizations and student of different schools entertained the audience presenting songs, dance, recitals and others at the programme.
People’s Theatre Association, a member organisation of the International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People, organised the programme. Over five hundred children and young theatre activists brought out a colourful procession marking the day from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
All over the world, the day is celebrated by member organisations of ASSITEJ with the motto- ‘Take a child to the theatre, today’. Every year the organisers read out special messages give by different theatre activist.
March 20 marks the ‘World Day of Theatre for Children and Young People’ and to observe the occasion, Peoples Theatre Association (PTA) the local representative of ASSITEJ, a global network of theatre for children and young people.
